The Denver Nuggets will return to Ball Arena for Game 5 trailing the Minnesota Timberwolves 3–1, a position the franchise famously escaped twice during the 2020 NBA postseason.
Denver lost Game 4 on Sunday, 112–96, marking its third straight defeat in the Western Conference semifinal matchup. To advance, the Nuggets must now string together three consecutive victories.
The team’s recent history suggests such a comeback is possible. In the 2020 Orlando bubble, Denver overturned a 3–1 deficit against the Utah Jazz in the first round and repeated the feat against the Los Angeles Clippers in the conference semifinals, taking both series in seven games.
