Brooklyn — The Brooklyn Nets have signed head coach Jordi Fernandez and his full coaching staff to multi-year extensions, the organization announced on Monday.

“Jordi is a tremendous leader who, along with his coaching staff, put his stamp on this franchise from the moment he arrived in Brooklyn,” general manager Sean Marks said, as quoted by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. “Over his first two seasons, Jordi has built a strong foundation rooted in player development, a competitive spirit and honest communication, all of which have been embraced throughout our roster.”

Marks added that the energy and passion shown by the staff “reverberates throughout the organization,” saying the Nets are eager to have the group guide the franchise going forward.

The extensions reflect ownership and front-office confidence in Fernandez even as the club continues a broad rebuild. Brooklyn has posted a 46-118 record across the past two campaigns, focusing heavily on developing young talent and creating sustainable growth. Under Fernandez, prospects have progressed while veterans such as Michael Porter Jr., Nic Claxton and Day’Ron Sharpe have settled into consistent roles.

Fernandez joined the Nets in 2024 after serving as Mike Brown’s lead assistant in Sacramento. Before that, he spent several seasons on Michael Malone’s staff in Denver and began his NBA career in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ organization.
