The NBA confirmed on Thursday that the 2026 draft will be held over two nights at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, beginning Tuesday, June 23 and concluding Wednesday, June 24.
As in the past two years, the first round will feature picks 1–30 on the opening night, while selections 31–60 will be made in the second round the following evening. Both sessions are scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. ET, the league said.
The Tuesday–Wednesday timetable departs from recent schedules that placed the first round on Wednesday and the second round on Thursday. The shift is widely viewed as a way to prevent overlap with the 2026 FIFA World Cup; the United States faces Türkiye on Thursday, June 25.
Several key deadlines now flow from the draft date. NCAA early entrants must declare by April 24 at 11:59 p.m. ET, exactly 60 days beforehand. Prospects who wish to withdraw from the draft pool have until June 13 at 5:00 p.m. ET, 10 days before the event begins.
