The NBA offseason is already generating headlines in Chicago, Milwaukee and Washington as players and teams weigh pivotal decisions.

Bulls

Chicago swingman Isaac Okoro, acquired in a trade last summer, acknowledged Monday that another move is always possible despite having one season left on his contract. “It’s the NBA, it’s the business, and I can be traded again somewhere,” Okoro told reporters. “I love being here and I love the culture we’re trying to build, so I just have to try and control what I can control.”

The 23-year-old added that he grew accustomed to trade rumors during previous offseasons in Cleveland. His off-court plan remains straightforward: focus on improvement and let roster decisions play out on their own.

Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks are casting a wide net in their head-coaching search, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Former Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins and current Bucks assistant Darvin Ham are among those under consideration.

Two additional candidates have emerged: Sean Sweeney, now an assistant with the San Antonio Spurs, and Chris Quinn of the Miami Heat. Sweeney previously served on Milwaukee’s staff and developed a strong rapport with star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, while Quinn has drawn prior interest from the franchise.

Wizards

The Washington Wizards face significant financial choices this summer, ESPN’s Bobby Marks noted in his offseason guide. Guard Trae Young has until June 23 to decide on a $49 million player option. He can also sign a three-year, $156.9 million extension before June 30 or opt in and revisit free agency later.

Forward Anthony Davis is not headed to free agency but becomes extension-eligible on Aug. 6. A new four-year contract would replace his $62.8 million player option for the 2027-28 campaign.

With big numbers on the table, Washington’s front office enters a pivotal offseason.
