With the NBA Draft set for June 23, several national mock drafts point to very different possibilities for the Cleveland Cavaliers at No. 29 overall.

The Athletic: Meleek Thomas

Sam Vecenie of The Athletic projects Cleveland to select Arkansas guard Meleek Thomas. The 19-year-old averaged 15.6 points, shooting 43.3 percent from the floor and 41.6 percent from three in his lone college season. Vecenie notes Thomas could bolster the backcourt if veteran Dennis Schroder is traded, though at 6-foot-3 he would add another undersized guard to a crowded rotation.

SB Nation: Henri Veesaar

Ricky O’Donnell at SB Nation slots 7-footer Henri Veesaar to the Cavaliers. The Estonian big man moved from Arizona to North Carolina last season, averaging 17.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 blocks while hitting 42.6 percent of his three-point attempts. His shooting range could complement interior anchors Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley and add depth to the frontcourt.

Yahoo Sports: Koa Peat

Kevin O’Connor of Yahoo Sports links Cleveland to Arizona forward Koa Peat. The 6-foot-9 freshman posted 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 52.8 percent shooting. Viewed as a physical, multi-positional defender, Peat offers size and toughness, though his perimeter game is still developing.

Hoops Wire: Joshua Jefferson

Hoops Wire’s in-house projection sends Iowa State forward Joshua Jefferson to the Cavaliers. Jefferson is described as a versatile, team-first player who can guard multiple spots, facilitate the offense and contribute without needing plays drawn for him.

While each player would fill a different need—bench scoring, stretch size, physical wing depth or overall fit—league observers remain split on Cleveland’s ultimate choice. The Cavaliers hold one first-round pick and have less than two weeks to finalize their draft board.
