Koa Peat Declares for 2026 NBA Draft; More Early-Entry Moves Ahead of Friday Deadline

Arizona freshman forward Koa Peat announced on social media that he will enter the 2026 NBA Draft, giving up his remaining college eligibility.
The 6’8”, 19-year-old starter averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 27.8 minutes over 36 games for the Wildcats in 2025-26. He shot 52.8% from the field, went 7-for-20 from three-point range and converted 62.3% of his free throws. Peat reached double figures in all five NCAA Tournament contests and recorded 16 points and 11 rebounds in a Final Four loss to Michigan.
ESPN ranks Peat No. 21 on its big board, while Bleacher Report slots him at No. 22. Scouts cited by ESPN’s Jeremy Woo value his physical play, toughness and defensive IQ but remain uncertain about his offensive fit at the next level.
Other draft decisions
Dame Sarr – The Duke guard/forward, No. 31 on ESPN’s top-100 list, will return for his sophomore season after averaging 6.4 points and 3.8 rebounds in 38 appearances as a freshman. He earned ACC All-Defensive honors.
Henri Veesaar – The Estonian center is forgoing a final year of eligibility to turn pro. After transferring from Arizona to North Carolina, Veesaar averaged 17.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 blocks on .608/.426/.615 shooting. He is No. 45 on ESPN’s board.
Jack Kayil – The Alba Berlin point guard has entered the draft while remaining committed to Gonzaga for the 2026-27 season.
Pavle Backo – The KK Mega Basket center joins Kayil in the draft pool, according to their agents.
Shane Blakeney – After three seasons at Drexel, the guard has declared for the draft but will keep his final year of eligibility. If he withdraws, he plans to transfer to South Carolina.
Under NBA rules, early entrants must finalize their draft status by Friday night.
