Kessler Edwards leaves Israel
Hapoel Tel Aviv announced that forward Kessler Edwards will not return to the club. The 25-year-old, who turns 26 in August, joined the Israeli side on a rest-of-season contract in February after spending the early part of 2025/26 with the Grand Rapids Gold, the Nuggets’ G League affiliate.
Selected 44th overall in the 2021 draft, Edwards logged four NBA seasons and last appeared with Dallas in 2024/25. He attended Denver’s 2025 training camp on a non-guaranteed deal before averaging 14.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks in 30 G League games, shooting 50.0% from the field and 40.3% from three. With Hapoel in EuroLeague play, he posted 3.4 points and 2.8 rebounds across nine contests (11.7 minutes per game).
Carsen Edwards receives offer from Zalgiris
Lithuanian powerhouse Zalgiris Kaunas has tabled a contract worth just under $2 million for guard Carsen Edwards, according to Sportando. The 28-year-old, a three-season NBA veteran and former Purdue standout, is completing his fourth year in Europe and spent 2025/26 with Virtus Bologna in Italy.
Elijah Bryant discusses potential “NBA Europe”
Guard Elijah Bryant, who made a single NBA appearance with Milwaukee in 2020/21, earned All-EuroLeague First Team honors this season and finished third in MVP voting after averaging 15.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 34 games (29.6 MPG) on 54.4% shooting. In a Substack post, Bryant examined the idea of the NBA partnering with FIBA and EuroLeague to create an “NBA Europe,” writing that the league could help “turn a great competition into a great business” provided it preserves the sport’s European identity.
Ante Zizic scheduled for shoulder operation
Besiktas confirmed that center Ante Zizic will undergo surgery on an AC joint injury in his left shoulder suffered during the Turkish league playoff semifinals. The Croatian big man played three NBA seasons before moving overseas.
