MINNEAPOLIS — Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon is officially listed as questionable for Thursday’s Game 6 against the Minnesota Timberwolves because of persistent tightness in his left calf.
Gordon missed Games 3 and 5 of the first-round series but managed 23 minutes in Saturday’s Game 4 despite visible discomfort. Interim head coach David Adelman told reporters the decision on Gordon’s availability will hinge on how well the 6-foot-8 forward can move on the court.
“You could see the wear and tear,” Adelman said, noting that Gordon’s mobility declined in the second half of Game 4. “There’s a point where it’s not good for him and it’s not good for the team.”
Denver trails Minnesota 3-2 and faces elimination Thursday night. After the team’s walkthrough on Wednesday, Gordon and swingman Peyton Watson (hamstring) worked out individually as the medical staff continued evaluations.
Timberwolves Report
The Timberwolves list only guard Bones Hyland (left knee soreness) as questionable for Game 6. Donte DiVincenzo and Anthony Edwards, who both sustained significant injuries last Saturday, remain sidelined.
Other Injury Updates Around the League
Orlando Magic — Forward Franz Wagner (calf strain) missed Wednesday’s Game 5 and addressed reporters wearing a protective boot on his right foot. “You’ve got to be careful with this kind of injury,” Wagner said. Jamal Cain started in his place. Reserve big man Jonathan Isaac sat out with a left knee sprain.
Detroit Pistons — Guard Kevin Huerter was unavailable Wednesday because of a left adductor strain.
New York Knicks — Guard Josh Hart is listed as questionable for Thursday’s Game 6 with a lower-back contusion.
The teams will provide final status reports 90 minutes before tip-off of their respective games.
