Charlotte, N.C. — The Charlotte Hornets announced Monday that forward Brandon Miller has a shoulder subluxation and will be sidelined for at least two more weeks.
The team said the 21-year-old will continue rehabilitation and is scheduled for another medical evaluation in 14 days. Surgery is not planned at this time.
Miller sustained the injury during the Hornets’ second game of the season. He opened the year with 25 points and seven assists but exited early in Game 2 after the partial dislocation.
Last week, NBA insider Chris Haynes reported that Miller sought a second medical opinion. Monday’s update matches the original diagnosis made in late October.
The No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 draft appeared in 74 games as a rookie but was limited to 27 contests last season because of a wrist injury that later required surgery.
Charlotte, currently 3-4 after finishing with 19 wins a year ago, plays six games over the next two weeks, all of which Miller will miss.
