Multiple NBA insiders believe the Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers are exploring potential trade scenarios for Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, according to Marc Stein at The Stein Line.
Brown surfaced in Stein’s reporting on the uncertain future of Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. A possible deal that would send Antetokounmpo to Boston would likely require a three-team framework, with Brown redirected to another franchise—identified as Atlanta, Houston or Portland—while Milwaukee receives additional assets.
The 29-year-old guard is coming off his most productive season, averaging 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.0 steal over 71 games. He earned his fourth consecutive All-Star selection (fifth overall), placed sixth in MVP voting and was named to the All-NBA Second Team for the second time.
Brown has three years and $183 million remaining on the super-max extension he signed in 2023. The Georgia native captured Finals MVP honors when Boston secured its record-setting 18th championship in 2024.
