The prospect of a Milwaukee Bucks blockbuster involving Giannis Antetokounmpo is gaining traction across the NBA, according to reporters Jake Fischer and Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

League sources told Fischer and Stein that a growing number of front-office executives expect the two-time Most Valuable Player to be moved before the June 23 NBA Draft. Nearly every team that spoke with the reporters is operating under the assumption that Milwaukee will finalize a deal this offseason.

While momentum is building, the Bucks are not believed to be on the verge of an agreement. Team officials reportedly prefer to wait until the conclusion of the NBA Finals in hopes of attracting additional bidders as draft night nears.

Milwaukee’s recent activity has only fueled speculation. The organization is said to be acting as though it plans to secure at least one extra first-round selection in this year’s draft, a move many observers interpret as preparation for a post-Antetokounmpo future.

The Miami Heat remain widely viewed as the leading contender should the superstar forward seek a new home. Sources cited by Fischer and Stein believe Antetokounmpo would prefer to stay in the Eastern Conference, making Miami an appealing destination.

The Boston Celtics have been mentioned as a potential dark horse, while the New York Knicks are expected to stay alert—particularly if their championship bid falls short. The Portland Trail Blazers have also expressed interest, though executives around the league see Portland more as a possible facilitator in a larger multi-team transaction.

For the first time since Antetokounmpo became the face of the Bucks, league sentiment now tilts toward a trade being more probable than a long-term stay in Milwaukee.
