Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert arranged bus transportation for a group of team supporters traveling from Ohio to Michigan for Game 2 against the Detroit Pistons.
The buses left Cleveland ahead of the matchup in Detroit, giving fans an organized way to back the Cavaliers on the road. The club did not release details on how many buses were involved or how the passengers were selected.
Gilbert, who bought the franchise in 2005, has previously provided similar travel opportunities to encourage a strong Cavaliers presence in opposing arenas. Monday’s initiative continued that practice as Cleveland seeks an advantage in its series with Detroit.
The game marks the second meeting of the best-of-seven set, with the venue shifting to the Pistons’ home court for the first time in the matchup.
