Los Angeles — The Clippers have surfaced as a possible destination for Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown in a proposed multi-team trade scenario that would move Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo to Boston and deliver the No. 5 overall pick to Milwaukee, according to sources cited by Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com.

Afseth emphasized that the concept is one of several leaguewide ideas under discussion and is far from completion.

Los Angeles obtained the fifth pick from the Indiana Pacers in the recent Ivica Zubac deal, but additional assets the Clippers might include for Milwaukee were not specified.

League sources told Afseth that Boston has been quietly exploring Brown’s market while increasing its pursuit of Antetokounmpo. The Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers also remain linked to Brown, matching earlier reports by Marc Stein.

On ESPN’s “Get Up,” Brian Windhorst said Wednesday that Antetokounmpo continues to prioritize the Miami Heat, though the Celtics have recently shown interest. Windhorst added that third and fourth teams are involved in ongoing discussions, noting potential challenges for Boston: breaking up the Jayson Tatum–Jaylen Brown duo and overhauling the team’s playing style.
