Boston appears to have no plans to move All-Star swingman Jaylen Brown, according to NBA insider Sam Amick of The Athletic.
During a June 9, 2026 appearance on CLNS Media, Amick said he has seen “no signs” that the Celtics are making Brown available in trade talks. His remarks come amid outside speculation that Boston could explore blockbuster scenarios involving Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Brown, 29, is coming off one of the best seasons of his career. He averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists and earned All-NBA honors while helping Boston win 56 games. The eighth-year veteran was named Finals MVP during the Celtics’ 2024 championship run and finished sixth in MVP voting this past season.
Boston managed those 56 wins despite limited availability from franchise cornerstone Jayson Tatum, who played only 16 games because of injury. Brown’s production helped stabilize the roster and reinforced his status as a foundational piece.
While NBA landscapes can shift quickly when superstars such as Antetokounmpo become potential trade targets, Amick’s latest reporting indicates the Celtics intend to keep their core intact heading into the offseason.
