Riley Minix, currently on a two-way contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, is on the verge of signing with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne in France, Blazo Komnenic of Meridian Sport reported, with Eurohoops relaying the news.

The 25-year-old forward went undrafted out of Morehead State in 2024 before landing an Exhibit 10 deal with the San Antonio Spurs. That agreement was upgraded to a two-way contract just ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Minix logged only seven NBA minutes as a rookie but proved productive in the G League. With the Austin Spurs in 2024/25, he averaged 19.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks while shooting 52.4% from the field, 41.4% from three and 85.3% at the line over 19 games (31.6 MPG).

Re-signed by San Antonio on another two-way deal last summer, Minix appeared in three NBA contests during the 2025/26 campaign before being waived in mid-December. The Cavaliers picked him up in February on a two-year, two-way contract, leading to six late-season appearances for Cleveland.

Across 34 G League outings in 2025/26 with Austin and the Cleveland Charge, the 6’7” wing posted 18.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game on 51.9% shooting overall, including 42.8% from beyond the arc.

Although his two-way deal with Cleveland runs through 2026/27, it is non-guaranteed, clearing the path for a move overseas. If finalized, the agreement with ASVEL would mark Minix’s first professional stop in Europe.
