Duke University announced Monday that freshman forward Cameron Boozer has submitted his name for the 2026 NBA Draft.
The 6-foot-9 power forward is widely projected to land within the first four selections after a standout debut season in Durham. Boozer averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 55.6% from the field, 39.1% from three-point range and 78.9% at the free-throw line.
His production ranked second nationally in total points, third in total rebounds and tied for first in double-doubles. Despite playing primarily in the post, Boozer often initiated Duke’s offense, routinely finding open teammates when double-teamed.
The freshman’s résumé includes Associated Press Player of the Year, Consensus All-American honors, the Naismith Men’s College Player of the Year award and the Karl Malone Award as the nation’s top power forward.
Draft analysts view the top of the 2026 class as fluid, with BYU guard AJ Dybantsa and Kansas wing Darryn Peterson also vying for the No. 1 pick. North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson is considered a close contender after that trio. Boozer sits third on ESPN’s big board and was slotted third overall in Bleacher Report’s latest mock draft by Jonathan Wasserman.
As he moves through pre-draft workouts, team executives are expected to evaluate Boozer’s athletic ceiling, defensive versatility and dependence on physical interior play.
