The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard Brayden Burries, the 10th overall selection in June’s draft, to a standard rookie-scale contract, the team announced Sunday on social media.
Under the league’s salary structure, the agreement will pay Burries approximately $6.42 million in 2026-27 and $29.21 million over four seasons.
Burries, 19, left Arizona after one collegiate season in which he averaged 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals across 29.8 minutes. He shot 49.1 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from three-point range and 80.5 percent at the foul line, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors and solidifying his lottery status.
Draft analysts widely projected Dallas to select Burries at No. 9, but the Mavericks opted for forward Morez Johnson Jr., allowing Milwaukee to grab the freshman standout at No. 10. He became the club’s first draft choice after the Bucks agreed to send Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami in a pending blockbuster trade.
Burries is the 23rd first-round pick from the 2026 class to finalize his deal. Eight selections, including fellow Arizona product Nate Ament, remain unsigned. Ament cannot put pen to paper until the Antetokounmpo trade is completed following the end of the July moratorium on Monday at 11 a.m. CT.
