RJ Barrett drained a high-arching three-pointer with 1.2 seconds left in overtime, lifting the Toronto Raptors to a 112-110 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night and extending the first-round series to a seventh game.
The shot, which caromed off the back rim, rose straight into the air and dropped through, capped a frantic finish at Scotiabank Arena. Cleveland still had one final look, but Evan Mobley’s corner three at the buzzer fell short, sealing Toronto’s win and tying the series at 3-3.
Cleveland erased a double-digit second-half deficit behind Donovan Mitchell and Mobley, even taking a brief lead in overtime. Turnovers, however, proved decisive. The Cavaliers committed 18 overall, four by James Harden, and the Raptors converted those mistakes into 25 points.
Mobley finished with 26 points and 14 rebounds, while Mitchell scored 24. Harden added 16 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. For Toronto, Scottie Barnes paced the effort with 25 points and 14 assists. Barrett and rookie JaKobe Walter contributed 24 points apiece.
The series now shifts to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland for Game 7, where the winner will advance and the loser’s season will end.
