Players at the G League Combine are generally viewed as fringe draft candidates, yet the event routinely produces future NBA talent on standard or two-way contracts. Last year’s group included Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Dylan Cardwell, Ryan Nembhard, Amari Williams, Will Richard and Jahmai Mashack, all of whom later reached the NBA.

The combine also serves as a measuring stick for early entrants weighing whether to remain in the draft. Participants have until May 27 to withdraw and preserve college eligibility. Arenas, ranked No. 52 on ESPN’s board, is considered the top prospect in this cohort but is reportedly leaning toward returning to USC. The NBA noted that the invitee list could shift if players opt out before the event begins next Friday.
