A new feature film is in development to chronicle the dramatic 1996 NBA Draft events that saw teenage prospect Kobe Bryant bypass the New Jersey Nets, according to the New York Post.
The movie will focus on the intense, behind-the-scenes negotiations that unfolded on draft night, ultimately preventing the Nets from selecting the 17-year-old guard, the report said.
