Oklahoma City — The Oklahoma City Thunder have exercised the $17.7 million team option on forward Lu Dort, according to ESPN.
The move secures the 25-year-old’s contract for the 2024-25 season, keeping one of the league’s top perimeter defenders on the roster as the Thunder continue to build around their young core.
Dort averaged 10.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in 79 games last season while starting every contest. He originally joined Oklahoma City as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and has been a full-time starter since the 2020-21 campaign.
The Thunder won 57 games last season, finishing first in the Western Conference before falling in the conference semifinals.
