LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Puka Nacua took a night off from voluntary offseason workouts on Monday, April 22, to watch Game 2 of the NBA playoff series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets at Crypto.com Arena.
The pair were photographed sitting together in lower-bowl seats as the Lakers hosted Houston. Their appearance drew cheers from nearby fans, many of whom snapped photos of the Super Bowl–winning quarterback and the record-setting wideout.
Both players are in the early phase of the Rams’ offseason program, which opened earlier this month at the team’s Thousand Oaks headquarters. Organized team activities are set to resume next week, giving Stafford and Nacua a brief window to enjoy the local postseason atmosphere before returning to football preparations.
Stafford, 38, enters his 16th NFL season after throwing for 3,965 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2025. Nacua, 25, is coming off a breakout rookie campaign in which he amassed 1,486 receiving yards, the most ever by a first-year player.
