DETROIT — Detroit fans turned Little Caesars Arena into a wall of sound Sunday night, repeatedly chanting “Angel Reese” at the Orlando Magic during a winner-take-all Game 7.
The chant targeted a Magic player who is dating college basketball star Angel Reese. With each refrain, the crowd leaned into the taunt while the Pistons built momentum on the floor.
Detroit went on to win the decisive matchup, eliminating Orlando and ending the postseason for Reese’s boyfriend and his teammates. As the buzzer sounded, the chant echoed one last time before fans celebrated the series-clinching result.
