The Brooklyn Nets will select sixth overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, a position that leaves the front office sorting through several guard prospects after Tuesday night’s lottery left the team outside the top five.

Brooklyn entered the drawing hoping to move higher but settled into the No. 6 slot once the ping-pong balls were revealed. The result gives general manager Sean Marks and his staff a choice among a guard-heavy group projected to be available in that range.

The selection is the Nets’ highest first-round pick in several years and comes after a season in which the roster proved thin in the backcourt. Team officials are expected to devote the coming weeks to individual workouts, medical evaluations and interviews before making their final decision on draft night.

The 2026 NBA Draft is scheduled for June 25 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
