The admission appeared in the league’s standard Last Two Minute Report, which reviews the closing moments of games that are within five points. According to the document, Hart made illegal contact with an opposing player in the final minutes, but play was allowed to continue.
The missed call occurred in a matchup the Knicks ultimately won after erasing a sizeable deficit. By confirming the officiating error, the league conceded that the non-call directly affected possession at a critical juncture.
