The Los Angeles Lakers absorbed their first defeat of the 2026 postseason on Monday night, losing 115-96 to the Houston Rockets in Game 4 at Toyota Center.
Houston secured the victory without forward Kevin Durant, who was unavailable for the matchup. Even without the former MVP, the Rockets controlled the contest from the opening minutes and never relinquished the advantage.
The setback ends the Lakers’ perfect run through the early rounds of the playoffs, though the team still holds the overall series lead heading into Game 5.
