Speaking to reporters on March 3 2026, Redick characterized the clip as routine. When asked about the attention the video received, he replied, “It was normal.”
The short exchange between the two players was captured on camera during a recent Lakers-Mavericks matchup and quickly went viral, prompting online speculation about possible friction. Redick insisted the moment was simply standard in-game communication and carried no deeper meaning.
Doncic has not publicly addressed the video, and both teams declined further comment.
