Golden State Warriors guard Jimmy Butler turned BottleRock Napa Valley into an impromptu karaoke session on Friday, May 23, 2026, belting out early-2000s pop favorites despite recovering from a torn ACL.
The 36-year-old entered the JamPad stage unannounced and opened with Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles,” drawing loud cheers from festivalgoers. Riding the crowd’s reaction, Butler followed with Jesse McCartney’s “Beautiful Soul,” telling fans he had wanted to perform the track “since high school.”
Butler later joined the DJ for Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” Before hopping around during the number, he joked, “Don’t show this to Steve [Kerr]; I got a torn ACL,” referencing the injury he sustained in the Warriors’ Jan. 12 win over the Miami Heat. Butler underwent surgery in February.
As Butler exited, the DJ quipped that the six-time All-Star would be “headlining the main stage next year.” Prior to his season-ending injury, Butler averaged 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists for Golden State in 2025-26.
