Speaking on “The Dan Patrick Show,” the host said James was noticeably missing from the event, which featured team officials and media members gathered to mark Doncic’s deal. Patrick told listeners that a player in James’s position should have been present to support the occasion.
Patrick did not indicate whether James offered an explanation for his absence, and the Lakers have not released a statement on the matter.
