Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has injected an additional $10 million into Aspiration, the eco-focused financial-services firm that has been accused of arranging a “no-show” endorsement deal for Clippers star Kawhi Leonard.
The new commitment, reported on Sept. 12, 2025, marks Ballmer’s latest investment in the company. Details of his previous contributions were not disclosed in the filing reviewed by the New York Post, but the fresh cash brings his total stake in Aspiration to an undisclosed figure.
Aspiration drew scrutiny after allegations surfaced that Leonard received compensation from the firm without being required to perform any substantive promotional work. The purported arrangement was said to have taken place while the Clippers were recruiting the forward in free agency.
Neither the Clippers, Ballmer’s representatives nor Aspiration publicly commented on the latest funding round at the time of publication. The NBA has not announced any formal action related to the allegations.
