The Cleveland Cavaliers and free-agent forward Mario Hezonja have reached an agreement on a one-year contract, ESPN reported.

Hezonja, a former lottery pick, returns to the NBA after spending recent seasons overseas. Specific financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 29-year-old last appeared in the league during the 2019-20 campaign before continuing his career in Europe. Drafted fifth overall in 2015, he has averaged 6.9 points and 3.1 rebounds across 330 NBA games.

Cleveland finished last season 48-34 and is looking to bolster its wing depth ahead of training camp. The one-year pact with Hezonja will become official once he passes a physical and the league approves the contract.
