ESPN released its standard responsible-gaming notice, reminding viewers that help is available for anyone experiencing problems with sports wagering.
The network listed several confidential resources, including the national hotline at 1-800-GAMBLER and the alternate number 1-800-MY-RESET (800-327-5050). State-specific services were also highlighted:
• New York: Call 877-8-HOPENY or text HOPENY (467369).
• Connecticut: Call 888-789-7777 or visit ccpg.org.
• Maryland: Visit mdgamblinghelp.org.
• Massachusetts: Visit gamblinghelplinema.org.
• Puerto Rico: Call 1-800-981-0023.
The advisory specifies that users must be 21 or older to wager in most U.S. jurisdictions, with an 18-plus threshold in Washington, D.C.; Kentucky; New Hampshire; Puerto Rico; and Wyoming. Betting is void in Ontario. Additional eligibility rules apply.
