The Los Angeles Lakers have waived guards RJ Davis and Augustas Marčiulionis along with forwards Anton Watson and Nate Williams, the team announced.

Davis and Marčiulionis signed Exhibit 10 contracts with Los Angeles on July 26, 2025, while Watson and Williams agreed to the same deal on Sept. 27. All four players will enter the league’s waiver process; if unclaimed, their contracts can be converted so they can join the South Bay Lakers of the NBA G League.

Preseason production

Davis appeared in five preseason games, averaging 8.6 points and 1.4 rebounds across 16.1 minutes per contest. Williams also played in five games, posting 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 16.0 minutes. Watson saw action in four preseason matchups, contributing 1.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist over 8.7 minutes. Marčiulionis, an undrafted free agent out of Saint Mary’s, missed Summer League and preseason play because of a foot injury.

Current roster outlook

With 14 guaranteed contracts and all three two-way slots occupied by Christian Koloko, Chris Mañon and Nick Smith Jr., Los Angeles entered training camp with limited roster flexibility. Despite the crowded depth chart, the organization noted that Davis and Williams made positive impressions and could continue their development in South Bay if they clear waivers.

Vanderbilt draws praise

The Lakers also highlighted forward Jarred Vanderbilt’s performance this preseason. Head coach JJ Redick said Vanderbilt, fully healthy for the first time in several years, “can be a really impactful guy on both ends” and praised his improved mobility, playmaking and ability to guard multiple positions.
