The New Orleans Pelicans have secured the 2026/27 seasons of guards Jordan Hawkins and center Yves Missi, picking up Hawkins’ fourth-year option and Missi’s third-year option, according to Spotrac contributor Keith Smith.
Hawkins, selected 14th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft out of UConn, is now guaranteed $7,021,895 for the 2026/27 campaign. The 6-foot-5 shooter appeared in 56 games last season, starting nine, and averaged 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists over 23.6 minutes. Despite battling back pain during the year, he is expected to serve as Trey Murphy III’s primary backup at shooting guard this season.
Missi, the No. 21 pick in last year’s draft from Baylor, will earn $3,512,760 in 2026/27. The 7-footer was one of the league’s most productive rookies, logging 73 games with 67 starts and producing 9.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 blocks in 26.8 minutes per contest. He is projected to remain the Pelicans’ starting center.
The exercised options keep both players on their rookie-scale contracts through the end of the 2026/27 season.
