Golden State guard Moses Moody will miss the team’s final three exhibition games because of soreness in his left calf, ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported on X on Tuesday.
Head coach Steve Kerr told reporters he is “not too concerned” about the injury, and the organization hopes the third-year wing will be ready for the regular-season opener.
Moody started the Warriors’ first two preseason matchups, posting averages of 14.5 points and 1.0 steal while converting 7 of 12 attempts from beyond the arc. After alternating in and out of the rotation the past two seasons, the 22-year-old has been penciled in as a floor-spacer and multipositional defender in Kerr’s primary lineup.
If Moody’s recovery stretches into the regular season, additional minutes could fall to Brandin Podziemski and Buddy Hield.
