The Miami Heat have added guard Gabe Madsen and released guard Trevor Keels, the team confirmed in a statement on October 9, 2025.
Madsen returns to Miami on an Exhibit 9 contract. The Heat originally brought him in on an Exhibit 10 deal in September but cut him shortly afterward to clear a roster spot for forward Precious Achiuwa.
The 24-year-old spent five seasons in college, opening his career at Cincinnati before playing the next four years at Utah. Over that span, the 6-foot-6 guard averaged 12.0 points per game and connected on 36.0 percent of his three-point attempts.
Keels, a former Duke standout, logged 12 points in the Heat’s preseason opener prior to being waived.
