The Phoenix Suns have picked up the 2026/27 rookie-scale team option on forward Ryan Dunn, the club confirmed on October 2.
The move guarantees Dunn a $2,784,240 salary for the 2026/27 season. Phoenix faced an October 31 deadline to finalize the decision under league rules governing rookie contracts.
Dunn, selected 28th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, turned in a solid first year. The 6-foot-7 wing appeared in 74 games, starting 44, and averaged 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 43.0% from the floor. Although his perimeter and free-throw percentages remain areas for improvement, he earned praise for his defensive intensity.
With the option secured, Dunn is expected to compete with veteran forward Royce O’Neale for a spot in the Suns’ starting lineup this season.
