Kobe Brown returns to Pacers on two-way deal
Forward Kobe Brown, 26, has opted to remain with the Indiana Pacers on a two-way contract after spending his first three NBA seasons on a standard deal. “Standard is always the goal, but something in my gut told me I needed to come back to Indy,” Brown said. The former first-round pick averaged 9.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 24.7 minutes over 27 games with Indiana, shooting 50.3% from the field, 43.3% from three and 78.8% at the line. In 114 appearances with the Clippers before a February trade, he logged 2.3 points and 1.5 boards in 8.1 minutes per contest.
Heat targeting Klay Thompson
Miami is prioritizing veteran wing Klay Thompson as it looks to add an elite floor-spacer alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo. Thompson is under contract with Dallas for $17.5 million in 2026/27, so the Heat are prepared to wait for a potential buyout. If the 36-year-old agrees to surrender roughly $7 million to leave the Mavericks, Miami could recoup that amount by offering him $7 million from its non-taxpayer mid-level exception.
Okpara embraces fit with Wizards
Second-round pick Felix Okpara (No. 46 overall) views Washington as an ideal landing spot thanks to the region’s sizable Nigerian and African communities.
