The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Karim Lopez, the 21st overall pick in June’s draft, completing contracts with all of their first-round selections. Lopez, 19, spent the past two seasons with the New Zealand Breakers through the NBL’s Next Stars program and is the first Mexican-born player ever taken in the first round. He missed NBA Summer League while recovering from a mild pre-draft hamstring strain.

Two-time G League MVP Mac McClung is attracting “significant interest” from EuroLeague clubs and is increasingly likely to continue his career in Europe, according to BasketNews. The 25-year-old guard averaged 29.5 points and 7.6 assists for the Windy City Bulls last season. With his two-way NBA eligibility exhausted, securing a standard roster spot stateside has become more difficult.
