PHILADELPHIA — LeBron James could be moved by the Philadelphia 76ers because his current contract does not include a no-trade clause, according to a July 27, 2026 New York Post report.
The absence of that protection means the Sixers’ front office can trade the four-time NBA champion without needing his consent, giving the organization full flexibility as it weighs future roster decisions.
The report did not indicate that Philadelphia is actively shopping James, but noted that the contractual detail leaves open the possibility of a deal if the team decides to reshape its lineup or acquire additional assets.
James, 41, joined the 76ers in free agency and is under contract through the 2026-27 season.
