The Indiana Pacers will guarantee the entire $2,584,539 salary owed to guard Quenton Jackson for the 2026-27 NBA season, The Indianapolis Star’s Dustin Dopirak reported.

Jackson’s contract carried a partial guarantee of $275,000 and a full-guarantee trigger of July 15. Indiana needed to waive him before the end of that day to avoid locking in the remaining salary but chose to keep the 27-year-old on the roster.

Contract and Career Path

The 6-foot-4 guard joined the Pacers on a two-way deal in March 2024, re-upped on two-way contracts in July 2024 and July 2025, and was elevated to the standard roster this past February. His current three-year pact included a $602,000 payment for the remainder of last season and the $275,000 partial guarantee for 2026-27.

2025-26 Production

Pressed into a larger role amid injuries, Jackson appeared in 49 games (19 starts) last season and posted career highs in points (9.1), assists (2.9), rebounds (2.3) and minutes (18.3) per game while shooting .470 from the field, .356 from three and .824 at the foul line.

Roster and Cap Impact

With Jackson’s salary now locked, Indiana has roughly $206.3 million in guaranteed money committed to 14 standard contracts. The club sits about $5.9 million over the luxury-tax threshold and $2.2 million below the first-apron hard cap, leaving insufficient space to add a veteran 15th player at this time.

Assuming Jackson remains with the team through next season, the Pacers will face another call on his future in the summer of 2027; his deal includes a $2.93 million team option for the 2027-28 campaign.
