LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul, said on July 10, 2026, that the four-time NBA champion is not working under any deadline as he considers his next contract.
“There is no timeline,” Paul told reporters when asked about James’ free-agency plans. He added that the forward will announce his decision only after carefully reviewing all options.
Paul did not disclose which teams have contacted James or how far conversations have progressed. He emphasized that the process will remain private until a final choice is made.
The update keeps much of the NBA offseason in suspense as clubs await word on where the league’s all-time leading scorer will play next season.
