The Washington Wizards have reached a sign-and-trade agreement to acquire forward Khris Middleton on a three-year, $17.6 million contract, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Middleton will arrive from the Dallas Mavericks as part of a single, league-record six-team transaction that also involves the Memphis Grizzlies, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks.
Key elements of the six-team deal
- Wizards: Receive Middleton; send point guard D’Angelo Russell, a future second-round pick and a second-round pick swap to Memphis.
- Pistons: Land John Collins from the Clippers via sign-and-trade.
- Grizzlies: Acquire Russell from Washington and Isaiah Stewart from Detroit.
- Mavericks: Obtain Santi Aldama from Memphis.
- Bucks: Pick up Caris LeVert from Detroit.
