The Philadelphia 76ers have committed almost their entire non-taxpayer mid-level exception to land forward Dean Wade and guard Anfernee Simons, leaving just $44,000 of the allowance unused.

Sixers spending breakdown

• Wade signed a four-year pact starting at $9 million and totaling $38.7 million. The final season includes a $1.65 million partial guarantee.

• Simons agreed to a two-year deal that opens at $6 million. The guard holds a $6.3 million player option for 2027-28.

The small remainder of the exception cannot be used immediately, but Philadelphia could tap it during the season’s closing days when the prorated minimum salary dips below $44,000, allowing the club to add a free agent or convert a two-way player to a multiyear contract.

Nets lock in Sharpe and Minott

• Center Day’Ron Sharpe secured a two-year agreement with Brooklyn worth $10 million guaranteed in 2026-27 and a $10 million team option for 2027-28.

• Forward Josh Minott accepted a similar structure: $4.5 million guaranteed in year one and a $4.5 million team option in year two.

Sharpe and Minott both waived their normal right to veto a trade in 2026-27. The same concession was made by Jevon Carter (Magic) and Bones Hyland (Timberwolves).

George’s trade bonus waived

Forward Paul George relinquished his trade bonus when he moved from Philadelphia to Boston, keeping his 2026-27 cap figure at $54.13 million instead of $57.74 million and giving the Celtics additional space below the first-apron hard cap.

Two-way rookies secure two seasons

Second-round rookies Ugonna Onyenso (Pistons, No. 53 pick) and Nick Martinelli (Clippers, No. 55) signed two-year two-way contracts with their respective teams.

The agreements finalize several key roster spots ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season.
