Pistons Sign No. 17 Pick Ebuka Okorie to Rookie-Scale Contract

The Detroit Pistons have finalized a rookie-scale agreement with first-round selection Ebuka Okorie, according to the NBA’s transaction log.
Chosen No. 17 overall in last month’s draft, the former Stanford guard will receive $4,481,280 in his first season. If Detroit exercises its team options, the four-year deal could be worth as much as $21,687,577.
The Pistons acquired the 17th pick in a draft-night trade with the Memphis Grizzlies, moving up from No. 21 to secure Okorie. As a freshman during the 2025-26 season, the 6-foot-3 point guard earned first-team All-ACC honors after averaging a conference-best 23.2 points while shooting .465/.354/.832 across 31 games (35.1 minutes). He also added 3.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest.
