The Philadelphia 76ers have signed rookie guard Labaron Philon Jr. to his four-year rookie-scale contract, according to the NBA’s transaction log.

Philon, a 6-foot-4 guard selected 22nd overall in June, became a Sixer after Philadelphia obtained Oklahoma City’s pick in February as part of the Jared McCain trade.

The standard 120 percent rookie-scale agreement will pay the 20-year-old $3.6 million in 2026-27 and could reach a total of $17.8 million over four seasons.

Philon is coming off a standout sophomore season at Alabama, where he averaged 22.0 points, 5.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals on .501/.399/.798 shooting in 33 games (30.9 minutes).

“He was pretty high on our board,” newly appointed president of basketball operations Mike Gansey said after the draft. “We were surprised he was there. He’s dynamic. He can play on or off the ball. He can score, and he can pass … He plays with an edge and a swag.”
