The Boston Celtics have re-signed center Amari Williams to a two-way contract, according to the NBA’s transaction log.
Williams, 24, appeared in 22 games for Boston during the 2025/26 season, logging most of his minutes in short stints off the bench and making two starts. He spent the bulk of the year with the Celtics’ G League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, where he averaged 17.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.8 blocks across 18 regular-season contests.
The 6-foot-10 big man has flashed a dependable jump shot, but his standout skill remains his passing vision and creativity for his size.
Williams is currently the only player on a two-way deal for Boston after the club chose not to issue a qualifying offer to guard John Tonje.
Michael Scotto of HoopsHype first reported on Monday that Williams had reached an agreement to stay with the Celtics, while John Karalis of SI.com confirmed the contract would be a two-way arrangement.
