The Portland Trail Blazers reached an agreement to retain center Robert Williams III on a deal valued at $44 million, the team confirmed Tuesday.
The contract secures the 6-foot-9 big man’s place in Portland after arriving via trade last season. Financial terms reported place the agreement at $44 million; additional details on length or incentives were not disclosed.
Williams, 28, averaged 6.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 22 games for the Trail Blazers in the 2025-26 campaign before a knee injury cut his season short.
Portland acquired Williams from the Boston Celtics in October 2025 as part of the multi-team trade that sent Jrue Holiday to Boston. The new contract aims to solidify the team’s front-court rotation as it builds around young core pieces.
