ESPN has released an expanded set of responsible gambling notices that outline helpline numbers, age requirements and state-specific regulations for users who engage with sports wagering content on its platforms.
The network lists multiple 24-hour assistance lines, including 1-800-GAMBLER, 1-800-MY-RESET and (800) 327-5050, and directs Massachusetts residents to gamblinghelplinema.org. New Yorkers are advised to call 877-8-HOPENY or text HOPENY (467369), while Connecticut users receive guidance to 888-789-7777 or ccpg.org. Maryland residents are referred to mdgamblinghelp.org, and Puerto Rico bettors can call 1-800-981-0023.
According to the notice, wagering is limited to persons 21 and older in most jurisdictions, with 18-plus allowances in the District of Columbia, Kentucky, New Hampshire, Puerto Rico and Wyoming. The offer is void in Ontario, and additional eligibility restrictions may apply.
The statement specifies that online bets are processed through DraftKings Sportsbook, operating “on behalf of Boot Hill Casino” in Kansas. It also warns Illinois customers that a per-wager tax pass-through could be applied.
