The Milwaukee Bucks intend to bring former NBA point guard T.J. Ford onto head coach Taylor Jenkins’ staff, according to Kelly Iko of Yahoo Sports. Ford, drafted eighth overall by Milwaukee in 2003, played his first three professional seasons with the Bucks, missed the 2004/05 campaign after a spinal cord injury and retired in 2012.
In a Thursday press conference, general manager Jon Horst presented first-round selections Brayden Burries (No. 10) and Nate Ament (No. 13). The pair arrived as part of the pending trade sending Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami. “They fit as people,” Horst said, highlighting their competitiveness, character and basketball IQ.
Another asset from that blockbuster deal, 2025 first-round pick Kasparas Jakucionis, spoke with BasketNews about being moved. “The first day was tough because it was the first time in my basketball career that something like this happened to me,” the former Heat guard said, adding that Milwaukee’s youthful makeup should benefit his development.
Australian forward Luke Travers will suit up for the Bucks in Las Vegas Summer League, reports Olgun Uluc of ESPN. The 24-year-old, selected 56th overall in 2022, spent 2024/25 on a two-way deal with Cleveland and was waived by the Cavaliers in February.
